Coaching is an inherent part of Six Sigma practitioners’ tasks. As part of their routine activities, practitioners coach other belts, champions, process owners, stakeholders and teams.
Although inherent to successful Six Sigma initiatives, coaching -- like many endeavors such as parenting -- is not an intuitive capability. There are specific skills, knowledge, tools and techniques, part science and part art, that can enhance coaches’ capability to support results in a Six Sigma initiative.
In addition to subject matter expertise in the Six Sigma tools and techniques, Six Sigma Coaches need knowledge and capabilities in the domains of intelligence (emotional, social, and cultural), relationships, communication, team building and behaviors, somatic balance, self-awareness/evaluation and self correcting skills, among others. Additionally there are many very practical coaching tools, techniques, models and methods coaches can use when coaching.
This is a highly interactive and active workshop. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Workshop costs include workshop materials, continental breakfast, buffet lunch, snacks, water, coffee and sodas. Participants are responsible for their own hotel accommodations, although the workshop location offers a reduced conference rate for attendees.
Participants will receive two one-hour one-on-one coaching sessions within six months of concluding the workshop.
Space is limited to 18 persons per workshop. Your registration will be confirmed upon receipt of your payment or purchase order. Please register early to avoid disappointment |
